This map shows all the solar/wind projects that are in progress in the West Antelope Valley.  There are many projects on the west side because of easy access to the transmission lines for integrating the projects into the grid.

The blue lines are the transmission lines.  The green lines are the boundary of the Poppy Reserve, Ripley Desert Woodland, Desert Pines Wildlife Sanctuary (south of Ripley) and the Angeles National Forest.  The dashed green lines are Significant Ecological Area (SEA) 60 (Joshua Tree Woodlands). The dashed reddish-purple line is SEA 57 (Fairmont & Antelope Buttes). The dashed purple line is SEA 58 (Portal Ridge/Liebre Mountain).  The current map is  Rev 12.  New projects on this revision are  the Silverado Power group of three areas on City of Lancaster land around Antelope Acres, and Quail Lake Solar at 300th St West.
